Charmaine Sheh & Roger Kwok at Charity Walk

Roger Kwok, Charmaine Sheh, Lai Lok Yi and Sharon Chan were among the cast members from "Glittering Days" to take part in the Little Heifer Charity Walk yesterday. TVB General Manager Stephen Chan also took time out to attend and support the artistes, although they came in last. However, they were extremely sporting and insisted on completing the competition.

Charmaine arrived at the event in a long sleeved top and only found out after getting there that she had to wear a Glittering Days promotional T-shirt for the event. Although there was a temporary changing room at the event, it was very simple and Charmaine refused to go in despite being asked to on several occasions. In the end, she had to go in to get changed, but she was extremely careful to ensure that there were no hidden cameras anywhere. Afterwards, she said on the stage that she never thought about coming in first, but hopes that the ratings will be a winner.

Also, with recent reports that former boyfriend Matt Yeung has been spotted holding hands with Chloe Nguyen at a karaoke, Sharon Chan was asked whether or not she knew about his new romance. She says: "I have not read the papers, but when there is a special occasion or his birthday, then I will send an SMS to him. Take yesterday when he became the owner of a business, I congratulated him, but I rarely ask him anything about his private life.

Blessing Ceremony held for 'Jade Singers Celebrate TVB Anniversary'

The "Jade Singers Celebrate TVB Anniversary" show took place yesterday evening at TVB City and a blessing ceremony was held in the afternoon, attended by many of the singers, including Andy Lau, Hacken Lee, Eason Chan, Joey Yung, Ella Koon and Jordan Chan. Also in attendance were MC's Carol Cheng and Lui Fong. There was some amusement as the two roast pigs were dressed up as a male and female, with one wearing a bow tie and the other with a flower on its head. This is to signify success for both the male and female teams.

Carol will be working opposite her partner Lui Fong in the show and she says openly that Lui Fong is a little nervous and has been talking to her about the script, but she is not worried about his performance and responds to the criticisms of his quietness last time saying: "He was just not used to it then, but he has hosted 'Jade Solid Gold' before, so there is no problem."

There have been reports that Lydia Shum will be discharged from hospital next week and Carol says she hopes that this is true, so that Lydia can see the viewers again soon. However, even if she is sent home, Lydia will not be able to take part in the Anniversary Extravaganza show, so there have been suggestions that Lydia's recordings should be aired. Carol agrees witht his, saying that without Lydia there is something missing and everyone will miss her laughter and joy. Asked if she has called Lydia to wish her well, Carol says that she has not because she had her flowers refused, so she would like to give Lydia more space to rest.
