Andy and Myolie Promote their Show on Radio

Andy Hui and Myolie Wu gave interviews for different radio shows yesterday and with their series "To Grow with Love" being the talk of the town, Andy says he was happy with the opening day ratings of 33 points. As for the suggestion he is bullying Myolie in the show, he says that it turns around later and Myolie bullies him, so the writers did not show any favouritism. Andy watched the show earlier with his family and he was very happy to see them all laughing and to receive a call from Chapman To praising his performance.

With suggestions that Myolie was trying to avoid Andy on Monday, thus not inviting him to her special viewing party, Andy laughs that the story is interesting. He did know about the event, but he had another engagement and did not take part. He laughs that Myolie does not need to avoid him now she is back to her slim figure. So does he have to avoid her now? Andy says: "Don't say that! These stories will blow over before the series has finished airing and as a man, you have to show some gallantry. We will just treat this as alternative publicity. (Are you fighting against Bosco?) No comment, and I don't have to clarify anything with Myolie."

There are rumours that there will be a sequel to this series, but Andy says he has not heard about it. If the ratings top 40 points, how will Andy celebrate? Someone has suggested he should put on 40 lbs and he laughs that he will save that stunt for a charity event. As for criticism that Myolie's performance is over-exaggerated, Andy supports her, saying that this is down to the needs of the series and they have to find a balance point.

Myolie appeared on Cha Siu Yan's show and was asked why Andy was absent from her premiere viewing. She said that it was the producer who invited everyone and not her. She also admits that she did wish to see Andy at the event so that they could clarify the situation with the press together. She has got to know Andy quite well in the two months of filming and she feels very bad about the rumours.

Myolie has slimmed down to 115 lbs now and just has 8 lbs to go before she returns to her previous weight. Asked if rumoured boyfriend Bosco Wong has complimented her, she says he has not. Asked about the reviews of her overacting, Myolie understands that there will always be people who like it and dislike it and she had asked the producer beforehand about this and he said that as long as it matches the character, then she should not worry. Talking of her character wanting so badly to get married, Myolie says that in real life, she would very much like a family of her own, but she is not longing for marriage. Her criteria for a partner is that he has to think like her, be focussed on his career, ambitious and love playing games. She feels someone from within the industry would be better, but she is also worried that if she dates someone from showbiz, she will be criticised for not giving her full attention to her career. Myolie does not agree to co-habiting because she feels that this is like digging your own grave and giving up all your personal space without the commitment of marriage.

Yoyo raises laughs at "At Home with Love" Promo

TVB series "At Home with Love" held a promotional event in a hotel restaurant yesterday and male lead Lawrence Ng was still absent, leaving Yoyo Mung to hold the fort. However, she was left speechless with all the Ekin jokes that she was subjected to.

Yoyo joined Raymond Cho, Natalie Tong, Carlo Ng and Helen Ma in two teams to decorate some cakes. As soon as she arrived, Yoyo had stated: "I am not saying anything today, I will die if I do!" She started by making a cocktail, which she named 'Greenfield Immortal' and said: "This is great, you will become an immortal after drinking it!". Carlo responded quickly and said: "Did you managed to get Ekin through your drinks?", but Yoyo pretended not to hear. After they finished their cakes, Raymond named his creation 'Yi Ga Cake' (Ekin & Yoyo Cake) and after admitting they would lose after such a great name, Carlo proceeded to name his creation 'Mung Yi Building', Yoyo was left with no choice but to laugh along. When Raymond and Carlo tested the cocktails, Helen said: "Raymond should drink first, he is getting married soon!" Raymond immediately pointed at Yoyo and said: "We are talking about her, why are you talking about me?" At the end of the event, host Miguel Choi asked the judge Chung King Fai if he was Ekin, which cake would he like better, to which he pointed to Yoyo's team and said: "Of course it would be that one!"

Yoyo did not mind bearing the brunt of all the jokes and says: "I had expected it and I know they will stay within limits." Yoyo indicates that the event was tying in with the plot of the show because her character's brother makes cakes and they filmed it on location. Talking of the cake she made for Ekin on his birthday, did she pick up some tips from her series? She smiles sweetly: "No, my make up artist taught me. (Ekin seems to have become happier after dating you?) I don't know. (Have you also become happier?) I have always been a happy person." She also reveals that her friends often become ill after eating her cakes, so was Ekin alright after his? She says she does not know.

Raymond was asked later whether he is getting married soon and he says that there is a big chance he will get married next year, but this is only his intention and he has not proposed to his girlfriend yet. He says: "We have been dating for four years now and people have been rushing me to marry, but our goal is to buy an apartment and I have nearly saved enough now. We will have to see whether we get a home first or marry first, because we don't mind waiting a year or two before we get married. (Do you want to have children?) It is a great responsibility, so we have to sit down and discuss it properly, I have had my times when I have thought about being a father."

Charmaine shares Ghostly Experiences

Charmaine Sheh took part in a Metro Radio programme talking about spooky experiences and she says she is quite lucky in the she has not met with many spirits during filming. The only time was when she met with some strange events, whilst she was abroad. Working in Malaysia's Genting once, she returned to the hotel to sleep in the evening and suddently felt that there was a hand grabbing her arm. The hand was soft and very scary, like a swollen floating victim. At the time she could not move and had to struggle to scream out. The hand withdrew, but she could not get back to sleep after that. Fortunately she left Genting the following day.

Charmaine's scariest story is from her co-star Joe Ma. Joe was away working and as he was very tired, he immediately went to sleep as soon as he arrived back at the hotel. However, as soon as he tucked himself in, he heard a piercng scream. He thought the sound came from the wardrobe, but he thought he was dreaming. Then he realised that he did not fall asleep so quickly and he felt that he was unable to move, so he recited some mantras to himself until the screaming finally moved back into the wardrobe. At first, he wanted to leave the room, but he daren't pass the wardrobe, so he ended up staying in the room until daybreak.

Yan Ng, Yoyo Mung and Ella Koon at Fashion Event

Yan Ng, Krusty, Yoyo Mung, Ella Koon, Monie Tung, Gia Lam, Fala Chen and Vivien Yeo were among the girls taking part in a fashion event earlier and to tie in with theme of the show, the currently joyful Yoyo had to change to a cool look and drag her feet along the catwalk. Some mischievous reporters did their best to try and make her laugh and even called out Ekin's name, but she stayed professional and unaffected.

One of Yoyo's outfits on the night was a fur coat, but she rarely wears real fur: "I have seen some films about trapping animals and I find it very cruel. Since then, I have an aversion to wearing fur." With so many promotional events lately, has Yoyo found her workload increasing after the news of her romance? She says this is unrelated and is purely because her series is being aired and this has an effect.

Yan has been busy filming for her new series "Cadets on the Beat" and there are many male cast members in the show, including Ron Ng, Michael Tao and Sammul Chan and she admits that her mouth is watering when she sees them, especially the tanned Michael who has the best physique. However, she laughs you can only look from afar, otherwise you will smell how sweaty they are! She reveals that once when the cast were wearing their uniforms, even she was oozing body odour as she became very embarrassed. She also says that many people swear on set and she feels quite violated because she is not used to it.

Ella sported a new short cut for the event, but because she likes to shake her hair, she will be having extensions put in to take her hair to her waist. Asked if rumoured boyfriend Ron has complimented her hairstyle, she immediately replied with embarrassment: "I don't know, I am not answering."
